Who Are You?
The Beacon is an Internet radio station playing the best of the 60s, 70s, 80s, and more worldwide.
We “signed on” at 9:30AM on May 28, 2010 with our very first song, “Our House” by Madness. We are chat free, with very few commercials.
How Is This Possible?
Thanks to the Internet, we are broadcasting everyday from Marietta, Georgia, but can be heard worldwide. We use Live365.com to store our music, and to broadcast for us. They handle the streaming, and commercial insertion for us. We only provide the music, promos, bumpers, and update the playlist for you to enjoy.
Is Your Internet Station “Legal?”
Yes! All music heard on this station has been purchased legally, and no items have been downloaded illegally. Our payment to Live365 includes royalties for the music that we play. These royalties goes to ASCAP, BMI, and SESAC.
Can I Advertise On “The Beacon?”
If we get enough interest in advertising on “The Beacon,” we are able to add our own commercials. If you are interested in advertising, let us know.
I Would Like To Hear A Certain Song…
Let us know what it is, and we will see if we already have it in our playlist. If we don’t, we will look into getting that song added to our rotation. Every week we are adding more and more music.
